Iris is a recurring character in season 2 of The Hollow. She is on a team with Nisha and Tyler. She is the only known player in The Hollow with the ability of megethoskinesis, or self-size enhancement.

Physical Appearance

Iris is a black teen with short purple hair. She is skinnier and shorter than her teammates. She is always seen wearing a green jacket with white sleeves which hang to cover her hands, black pants and tall black boots. She also wears an earring in her cartilage.

History

Throughout the Series

In "Dead End," Iris and her teammates met up with the group of five outside Club Jazz as they played through their game, not knowing it was a game. Nisha was instantly opposed to them, despite them telling the trio that it was a game and they need only get to the end to win as the other team had already lost. Nisha confronted them over their team having five players. They tried to explain, but Nisha refused to listen. Reeve, upset with being distracted from their goal, lifted Tyler with his powers and threw him, starting a fight between the two groups.

During the fight, Kai noticed that him and Nisha had the same powers, which the game didn't allow. The fight continued until Iris noticed the key around Adam's neck and showed it to Nisha, saying it might be what they need to make the weapon they'd acquired from the Alchemist's house work. Tyler then created a shroud of mist that concealed their escape.

In "Fire," with both the weapon and the key, Nisha, Tyler, and Iris set out to figure out how to use the weapon. Nisha aimed it at the three little pigs' brick house and fired, destroying the house. Iris asked to try next. She struggled to hold the weapon up and when she fired it at a mountain, blasting a hole in it, it shoved her back into a tree.

As they ran through some woods, they ran into an Old Lady, who offered them a shiny apple. They declined and tried to leave, but then she started cackling and turned into a witch and told them she had the potion they needed to escape. The ground underneath them started cracking, forcing them to run for safety. Then they decided to charge at her, using their powers and the weapon to attack her. They left her buried under the rubble of a house.

Their map showed the exit and they used the potion from the Old lady to activate the portal. Iris and Nisha jumped through, but Vanessa flew in to snatch the weapon from Tyler before he could go through. She failed and he used the weapon to propel himself through the portal. Before it could close, Vanessa jumped through to follow them.

In "Race," the B team acquired a vehicle in the last level, which they used to try to evade the group of five. They used their powers to flip the other team's vehicle and escape. They were then pursued by monsters on motorcycles, but managed to escape them as well.

Finally, they reached a large heap of trash. They pulled the weapon out of the trunk and matched the trash pile to their map. The team of five tried again to explain that they weren't enemies, but the trio refused to accept it. Olym then emerged from the trash pile, starting their boss battle. Niaha fired the weapon at him, but missed. She was then separate from the weapon, which was buried in rubble. They continued the battle, with the other group preventing them from winning while also saving them from dying. Nisha fired at Olym a second time, which stopped him only for a second. When he bent over, Kai noticed a slot on his back shaped exactly like the tip of the weapon, meaning they had to put that piece directly in his back to defeat him. After some difficulty, Iris finally put the weapon in his back and defeated him. All the players hid together behind a piece of metal that Iris set up to block the blast caused by his defeat. Once the blast had settled, Iris, Nisha, and Tyler took over toward a portal that opened in the distance. When they noticed the others racing toward their own portal, they started to race faster and eventually jumped through at the same time as the other group.

Relationships

Nisha

Iris considerably admires and respects Nisha as a leader and companion. Despite only knowing each other for several days, they both fully trust each other and are incredibly cooperative despite their clashing personalities. It also seems that Iris is slightly frightened of Nisha.

Tyler

Powers and Abilities

• Mégethoskinesis: Iris possesses the power to grow to a tremendous size. It seems that she cannot stay in giant form for very long before reverting back to normal.
